Center for Study Abroad Case Study

Project Summary:

Center for Study Abroad required a new look for their outdated website plus optimization to help boost their search engine ranking.

The Center for Study Abroad is a non-profit study abroad service provider offering programs in over 18 countries. They were still running the same website for several years and felt it was outdated in its appearance and reflected poorly on their organization. Although they were advertising on several directories, their online search engine positioning was poor, appearing on page 8 of Google under the important keyword “study abroad”

The old CSA website was poorly optimized with a dated appearance. The navigation was difficult and the information outdated.

STRATEGY

In conjunction with a new site design, EDU-IS focused on making sure that the new site was well optimized. A keyword strategy was developed in accordance with appropriate keywords and Search Engine Optimization techniques. The Primary focus of the keyword strategy centered around “study abroad”. While it is a competitive keyword phrase, we felt confident that we could improve CSA’s position and garner some important traffic to their website as a result.
