What is the mission of your department?
How do your facilities reinforce that mission?
How does your staff feel about that mission?
How does your faculty work reinforce this mission?
What is the service you deliver?
How do you do this better than others?

Successful educational web sites present:

What is interesting about this department?
What's new?
Who is the faculty?
What institutional research is being done?
Who are the students? What do they do? What are their extracurricular interests? Where do they live? How is their off-campus life supported? What is unique about the area?
